The Almirah of Memories
After a long time, I am standing in front of the almirah of memories wide open. Perhaps, I'm in search of something. Oh! Yes. Here it is; the old book of nostalgia, coated with dust. There's a glimpse of smile on my lips, but my eyes are filled with numerous drops of memories, maybe because this nostalgic dust have got into my eyes. Ah! Never mind. C'mon let's flip through the pages together.
First page........
I could see some little kids running around a big courtyard, creating a noise, the one which kids usually make while playing :) here comes; the ice cream seller yelling in his sweet voice well but only for the kids not for parents :) "Get some Ice cream on this hot summer day. When the sun is shining bright" (ice cream waala.. kulfi waala..). To get ice cream, you need money. Right? So get it from the treasures of Granny (dadi). π "Here you go. But make sure to finish it before your mom's sight falls on it. Want to get beated with danda and chappal and jhadu. How could I forget that? No nah! Then eat it as fast as you can" said dadi giving us the money and instructions. π "When you're done with it. Go complete your holiday homework" Said dadi going back into her room. Oh mann! We got loads and loads of homework at that time. As we weren't technical kids, like today's kids, just get a device and gather the screen shots. In just a click. π Kids these days; just got lost in the world of gadgets. Well I feel bad for them too. Just to give them too much of comfort we've actually made them gadgets' slave.
Getting back into memories... isn't it like Alice in Wonderland? π
Evening game were pre planned you know. What to play today; Hide 'n' seek, peeto, seven stones, hopscotch. How could I ever forget that game stopper; Oonch neech ka paapda. π
The legend of all time: 'Chocolates' we too were big fan of them like the Z gen's kids. You know those are irresistible. Dairy milk my fav! But the candies have got lost in the new era. The wheat candy. Ah! what a delicacy it was! The sour ones coming the way; tamarind candy wrapped in colourful wrappers, lemon juice candy.
The Z gen's kids are gonna be like: "What? Did you eat such things. We never heard of that!"
"Hahaha... yup!"
A lot more is there to explore in this book. Would come back soon. :))
Ma Sha Allah, amazing!

DeleteWe weren't beaten up with that mentioned above instead we were punished by not getting dinner or chocolates. Somethings are a bit different but it has never been that you disappoint us so it's really nostalgic. Loved it ππ»ππ»ππ»
