GURU: The Teacher
Hello! My dear readers family. It's been long since we have interacted. Hope, you all are doing good. Today, as always I do, I was wondering on my rooftop at night. The sky was full of bright sparkles and a Lantern was smiling, looking at me (Chanda Mama Dur ke). As this poem hit my mind I started to recall who taught me this poem, maybe my momma, granny or my teacher.
From the womb to the last breath of our life, our mothers are our best teachers. From learning the first letter 'A' to becoming a successful man or woman, teachers are those who show us the path as a 'pole star'. We used to see the world through the eyes of our teachers.
As we step in our kindergarten we start to learn everything from our teachers.
Teachers are the one who impart knowledge and teach us about everything, either it is important or not.
In one sentence we can say that teachers are those who build the future of our Nations because they train the youth's brain. An educated and informed youth who possesses good ethical and moral values will naturally become a good civilian.
After our parents, teachers are those who feel very happy and proud on the success of their student.
Their selfless love and hard work, as we saw in this Pandemic too, is soo much that they never get tired of their noble work.
But the day we complete our studies, we forget about the teachers. Only few students give teachers the respect, they deserve.
Just think! Today, whatever we are, whether a bureaucrate, teacher, doctor, engineer, writer, artist, astronaut, entrepreneur etc. It's all because of our teachers!
In various countries teachers are considered very important but in some places they are judged on the basis of their salaries and their economic status in the society.
Can money actually beat the importance of teachers? No! Never.
In India, Saint Kabir Das said;
"Guru Gobind Dou Khade,
Kake Lagu Paye,
Balihari Guru Aapne,
Gobind Diyo Bataye"
Meaning of the above lines are:-
Once the teacher and Bhagvan (God) both reached at the door step of Saint Kabir at the same time. Now he got worried about 'whom to greet first?' Then, he greeted his teacher first because, he thought that he can identify the presence of God only because of his teacher.
So, it's my humble request to all, please obey and respect your teachers.
